Running Chester Marathon for Cruse Cumbria

Picture of Luke

In the past Luke has competed in a number of events such as walks, cycle rides and runs to raise funds for various charities. Although Luke lives in Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire, this year Luke will be running the Chester marathon to help raise some much needed funds for Cruse Bereavement Care Cumbria.

Please help support Luke with his aim to raise £500 when he runs the Chester marathon on the 8th October 2017. Further details of this event can be found at

Please support Luke by sponsoring him at BT MyDonate.

Luke says
“I have a close family member who volunteers for Cruse Bereavement Care Cumbria. Over the last couple of years, following funding cuts I have seen them struggle to keep this valuable service running due to financial restraints. As well as the essential counselling work Cruse Cumbria does which goes such a long way to helping people when they are at an immensely difficult time in their lives, those who volunteer have to expend a lot of time and effort raising the necessary funds to exist.

I will be running the Chester marathon with the intention of raising donations that will assist Cruse to do the invaluable work they do and help ease the burden on volunteers to raise the money they need.”

Cruse Cumbria offers grateful thanks to Luke for raising funds through this event.
