Donating and Fundraising

Cruse Cumbria is run entirely by volunteers. We are responsible for generating income to train our own volunteers, and run the local service in Cumbria.

We rely on funding and donations to finance our work with clients. Last year we helped 508 people and spent 1233 hours working with clients. All money received goes directly to helping people throughout Cumbria.

You can help by doing any of the following:

  • Holding a coffee morning
  • Holding a car boot sale and donating all or some of the proceeds
  • Donating directly
  • Holding a sponsored event
  • Organising an event to raise money (quiz night, pamper day etc.)
  • Leaving a legacy to Cruse Cumbria

Donations are always welcome and should be sent to:

Gift Aid your donations

Gift Aid is a Government run scheme that allows us to reclaim the tax on your donations. To be eligible you must be a tax payer and pay more tax in the year than the charity will claim back in Gift Aid. The Inland Revenue will only add 25p to each £1 given if the donor has signed a Gift Aid Declaration Form.

Thank You

A special thank you to all those who have helped with fundraising in 2017. Your help is very much appreciated and will help us to continue our work across Cumbria.
